The art of tattoo has been practiced across the whole world since ancient times. The earliest recording evidence of tattoo dates back to over 3000s BC

A tattoo is a form of body modification where a design is made by inserting ink, dyes, and/or pigments, either indelible or temporary, into the dermis layer of the skin. The art of making tattoos is tattooing.

A tattoo can be specifically done for decorative purpose or have significance to it. Different people have different meaning and reasons fo their tattoo. 

In Nepal as well, the tattoo art has been followed since ancient times where women used to get tattoo with needles.

Tattoo is widely affected by the Nepalese culture, traditions and society. It’s believed that when we die we take nothing from this world but a tattoo is a gateway to heaven that we carry even after our death.
